Advisory - Between July 2008 and July 2009, more than 6,500 vehicles were stolen in San Jose, and each year, along with the arrival of the cold winter weather comes a marked increase in “warm up” vehicle thefts.

Robbery - The San Jose Police Department's Robbery Unit is asking for the public's assistance in locating two robbery suspects. August 2009, the suspects would make contact with the victim's using internet services to identify Asian female escorts. Once the suspects would meet up with the victim's, they would commit robbery and other crimes.

Robbery - "Muumuu Bandit" We need your help in identifying a man who has robbed at least two businesses in San Jose. The first robbery occurred on July 11th, 2009 at around 12:40pm at a Payday Loan store located in the 700 block of Story Road. One week later, on July 18th at 10:36am, the same man robbed a liquor store in the 3900 block of Snell Ave. He’s described as an unknown race male, 5’6” to 5’8” tall and weighing about 170 pounds. It’s not unusual for suspects to wear disguises when committing robberies, but this suspect’s choice of disguises is noteworthy. During both robberies, he wore a pink long sleeved gown or “muumuu” with a white and purple floral pattern on it, along with a tan-colored straw garden hat, white gloves and tan shoes.

Robbery - We need your help in identifying the suspect responsible for a series of purse snatch robberies. One recent theft occurred on Monday, June 29th at approx. 1:00pm in a parking garage at the Valley Fair mall. This suspect should be considered armed and dangerous... Homicide - On July 4th, 2009, at around 7:40pm, San Jose Police officers were dispatched to a report of a homicide at a homeless encampment near Guadalupe Creek, north of Julian St.. Upon arrival they located the body of the victim... Click the links below for more information.

Homicide - On May 7th, 2009, at around 3:45pm, San Jose Police officers were dispatched to a reported shooting in the 3300 block of Rocky Mountain Drive off South White Road in San Jose.  Officers found a 22 year-old male who had been shot and was later pronounced dead...  Click the links below for more information.

Homicide - On Wednesday, April 1st at about 8:40pm, San Jose Police officers responded to the area of Cottontail Ave. near the intersection of Jackson Avenue and Story Road. Hit and Run - We need your help in solving a fatal traffic collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian. On March 2nd at around 6:10am, a 77-year old woman was walking along Mckee Road at Capitol Avenue in San Jose. Brandishing - We need your help in identifying a suspect who brandished a gun at a police officer. Around midnight on January 19th, a San Jose Police Officer stopped a pedestrian at Capitol Expressway and Seven Trees Blvd. The three occupants of the vehicle are described as Hispanic male adults 20-25 years old. The suspect vehicle is described as a gold mid 90’s to 2000 four door, possibly a Nissan Maxima or similar... Call (408) 277-8900 if you have any information in this case.
