Performance Analysis Detail
Targeting ExcellenceThe Performance Analysis Detail (PAD) was formed in August, 2006 and is a work group under the Office of the Chief of Police, consisting of a police lieutenant and four sergeants. All Detail members are Certified Law Enforcement Auditors, accredited by the International Law Enforcement Auditors’ Association (ILEAA). The group performs statistical and other analysis of many aspects of Department work functions and processes, and creates reports on their findings to the Chief of Police. The goal and mission of the Detail is to provide professional, timely analysis in the form of detailed written reports to upper executive management, in hopes that such insight might result in operational changes lending towards reduction of risks, increased organizational efficiency, updated policies and identification of potential cost savings. Additionally, the group provides policy consultation and development as needed when “red flag” risk elements are identified in the course of performance audits.
