Reserve Unit – Benefits
- Membership in the Municipal Employees' Credit Union of San José
- Keith Kelly Membership (exclusive to S.J.P.D full-time and reserve police officers only).
- Peace Officers Bill of Rights (extended to all SJPD reserve peace officers).
- Work in all phases and divisions of the police department (Available to all level I officers and limited to certain divisions to level II officers. Not available to Level III officers).
- Weight training room (open 24 hours a day and fully equipped).
- Work compensated assignments (Must complete the F.T.O program and must be off probation. Available to all Level I officers and limited to certain jobs to Level II officers. Not available to Level III officers).
- Unlimited access and use of the S.J.P.D range.
- All safety equipments are issued.
- All trainings paid for.
- Uniform points (allowance).
