Details:

Two officers worked a crime suppression detail and concentrated on the Downtown Business District. They made three gang-related detentions and two probation searches. They cited a gang member for driving with a suspended license.  They also conducted foot patrol on Fountain Alley and arrested a subject who had an outstanding drug-related arrest warrant.

On the listed date and time, four officers and a sergeant worked quality of life cars patrolling several areas in South San Jose. Two stolen vehicles were recovered, seven criminal citations were issued and one field interview card was completed.

Officers responded on a report of a person who had been shot. Upon arrival they located a male victim who was transported to Regional Medical Center with a gunshot wound. The suspects were not apprehended. The victim survived his injuries.  The investigation is on-going.  The incident is believed to be gang-related.

Brandishing/Possession of Airsoft gun

Details:

SJPD campus resource officers and school staff at Independence High School conducted follow up investigation on the report of a student with a gun on campus yesterday. Officers located witnesses and victim who had been brandished by the suspect. The suspect was identified and taken into custody at the school. The 15 year old male suspect admitted to carrying an Airsoft pistol on campus.  Officers recovered the pistol at the suspects home. Officers cited the suspect and he was subsequently suspended from school and released to his parents.

Assault with a Deadly Weapon

Details:

A 17 year old victim was assaulted by several subjects at the above location.  One of the subjects produced a handgun and fired one round striking the victim in the foot.  The victim was treated at RMC and released.  The victim was uncooperative with officers.  The suspects remain at-large.
