Car Stop / Search Warrant

Location:

Beat:

Division:

4800 block Anna Drive

Adam -1

Southern

Details:

Southern Division officers have had several calls for service since mid April regarding a residence in the 4800 block of Anna Drive.  The complaints from neighbors included midnight auto repair, running generators, loud music, bright flood lights, and multiple junk vehicles parked about the neighborhood. Officers have attempted several times to get the residents to stop their disturbances but the neighbors were afraid to get too involved. In response to these issues, officers conducted surveillance on this location and spotted two of the main associated residents driving by. The subjects attempted to avoid officers by ducking into the residential streets but were caught and pulled over. Both subjects were under the influence of drugs and were arrested. A search of the vehicle produced two pounds of crystal methamphetamine, cocaine, steroids, 2 loaded guns including an assault weapon, packaging, scales, and a small pile of $100.00 bills. Officers contacted the District Attorneys Office and requested a search warrant for the residence.  Special Operations METRO and patrol officers secured the property pending the search warrant. As the property was being secured, one subject attempted to flee the property and was arrested. A second subject refused to come to the front gate and was also arrested to the rear of the property. Four adult males were arrested for a variety of drug, and weapons charges and fugitive warrant charges.
