From 4:30 PM to 8:30 PM, four officers and one sergeant proactively patrolled the Seven Trees area of District X-ray. The focus was on quality of life related crimes. This resulted in a total of 10 criminal citations, and one arrest for a felony narcotics warrant.

Details:

The victims were approached by two male suspects. The suspects were both armed with handguns and demanded personal property. One suspect fired a round in the air before the victims complied. The suspects took personal property from the victims and fled on foot.  The suspects remain at-large.  There were no injuries.

Residential Burglary Suspects apprehended

Details:

An officer was flagged downed by a citizen in regards to a possible burglary in progress. The officer observed two juveniles fleeing the area and chased them up a hill. The officer was able to arrest one of the suspects. Other responding patrol officers arrested the second suspect a short time later. The suspects were booked into Juvenile Hall for burglary. The officer sprained his ankle during the foot pursuit.

Details:

Central Division Gang Suppression Officers conducted community policing foot patrol in the area of Forestdale and Jeanne, a known gang neighborhood. Officers conducted a pedestrian stop on a gang member. He was arrested for having an outstanding warrant for his arrest. Later, officers arrested another gang member for having an illegal weapon near Oakland Road and Highway 101.

The 15 year old male victim was assaulted by several suspects with a baseball bat. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.  The incident appears to be gang related and the suspects remain at-large.
