Details:

Five officers and one sergeant proactively patrolled the Seven Trees area. The focus was on quality of life related crimes. The officers made multiple pedestrian stops, which resulted in 12 criminal citations and one arrest for a misdemeanor narcotics warrant.

Details:

Officers responded to a report of a burglary in progress.   When Officers arrived, they caught one of the suspects fleeing the scene. The other suspect fled the scene and remains at large. The suspect was booked into Juvenile Hall.

A female victim was at home when she saw two suspects climb into her back yard and attempt to enter her home. When officers arrived in the area, the suspects fled on foot. Officers located and arrested a total of four suspects.  All of the suspects were booked for attempted burglary.

Details:

Officers saw several subjects fighting in the parking lot of a liquor store. Officers detained all of the subjects. Two adult male suspects yelled gang slurs and struck a male victim in the head, and kicked and punched the victim while he was on the ground. Two female juvenile suspects punched a juvenile female victim several times. The male victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The female victim declined medical treatment. The adult male suspects were booked into county jail. The female juvenile suspects were cited and released to family members.

The Traffic Enforcement Unit conducted a Sobriety/Driver's license checkpoint. This was funded through a grant from the State Office of Traffic Safety. The results are as follows:

11 On-View DUI Arrests
1 On-View arrest for assault on a police officer with injury (minor)
1 On-View arrest for being drunk in public, related to above

Additional Information:

The last vehicle screened- The driver was removed from the vehicle for a DUI investigation at the checkpoint. Three passengers were removed and asked to wait on the sidewalk. The three passengers advanced on the officer conducting the investigation and were intercepted by several other officers.  One of the subjects punched an officer in the face, causing minor injury. The subject was taken to the ground and taken into custody shortly thereafter. The other two passengers were physically pushed back from the struggle. One of the two remaining subjects attempted to strike a second officer on the face. He was quickly handcuffed and later determined to be drunk in public. The driver of the same vehicle was determined to be driving under the influence of alcohol. All three suspects were booked into jail.

The officer was treated at the scene for minor injuries by AMR paramedics and will follow-up with his doctor later on.

Assault with a Deadly Weapon

A stabbing victim walked into a local hospital with a non-life-threatening stab wound to an arm. The victim reported that several unknown suspects attacked him in the area of San Jose High School. Officers responded to the area of the crime and located a scene. The suspects remain at-large.  The investigation is on-going.
