Bonita D. wrote the following thank you to all SJPD officers:
"This card is being sent to 'boost morale.' I believe police officers are our 'community troops' on duty 24/7 protecting us no less than our military personnel. Our safety stats may have changed, but this is not due to less dedication on your part. You are appreciated - no matter what. I tell you, I am not the only person praying daily for your wizdom, guidance, and freedom. I apologize for all of us who have taken your service for granted and anyone who expresses negativity toward you without reason.
All the best to your families who share you with us. On behalf of all San Joseans, thank you."
