Father thanks officer for helping helping his daughter
A Father thanked Ofc. Rocky Zanotto and Ofc. Brendan Monlux for helping to calm his distraught daughter

George Z. wrote the following thank you to Officers Zanotto and Monlux:

Earlier this year, I called 911 to have police officers respond to my daughter's condo to assist me with her bi-polar disorder.  Officers Zanotto #3657 and Reserve Officer Monlux #848A arrived promptly.  I made contact with the officers and advised them that my daughter had not been taking her bi-polar medication, and was currently in a very agitated, "manic" state.  I explained to the officers that I was hoping to get her calmed down so I could take her to the hospital.

Officers Zanotto and Monlux were instrumental in calming my daughter down to the point that she did go with me to the ER.  They talked to her, patiently explaining why she should go with me, and always reassuring her that they were there to help her in any way they could.  Their compassion, patience, and professionalism in dealing with a potentially violent confrontation, definitely defused this situation.  Their actions are what the citizens of San Jose expect from their police officers!

Please thank Officers Zanotto and Monlux for me for a job well done!  They are definitely an asset to your Department.

Sincerely,
George Z.
