As the Chairman of the 35th Annual Nikkei Matsuri Festival, the Japanese American Cultural event that was held in San Jose's Japantown, we had a very successful and eventless day. We are appreciative to Sgt. Louis Quezada of the Secondary Employment Unit who coordinated the assignment of officers.
In addition, the volunteer officers listed below assisted during the day's activities. This group was led by Lt. Derek Chen, who volunteered the entire day without compensation. The list below are the officers who volunteered the entire day without compensation.
Rich Saito #157A
Robert Valenzuela #854A
Ken Leong #738A
Aaron Ettinger #735A
Bruce Ady #692A
Dave Gutierrez #3359
Gene Ito #3388
We are truly indebted to these volunteers for their civic-minded response to keep San Jose a safe place for our visitors and residents. Again, thank you.
Sincerely,
Warren Y. Hayashi, President
