On February 24th, 2012, Catalina M. dialed 9-1-1 because her mother, who suffers from Alzheimer's disease, was hallucinating and argumentative, and was trying to leave the residence. Family members were concerned about the mother leaving because of safety concerns due to her illness. Officer Angelo Delosantos, badge #3946 and Officer Jason Kidwell, badge #3848, responded to the residence and counseled family members on how to de-escalate the situation.
"I cannot say enough how I appreciate their support and assistance with my mom," Catalina wrote. "I did not have a chance to thank them because I was overwhelmed with the whole situation. I want to thank you and the Police Department for your prompt and supportive assistance."
