San Jose Police Department Assaults Unit Detectives have arrested Kevin Dixson in the May 6th assault of a Salinas man at a restaurant in San Jose. Detectives received several tips from people who had seen the suspect's face in the media and could identify him. Detectives subsequently identified the suspect and determined that he was on active probation. On 6/6/2012, at approximately 11:00 AM, detectives took the suspect into custody at his place of work (the suspect worked as a delivery driver). Detectives booked the suspect into jail for felony battery and probation violation. Below is the original press release for this case. San Jose:
The San Jose Police Department is currently seeking the public's assistance in identifying the suspect in an assault causing serious injury. On 5/6/2012, at approximately 2:30 A.M., an assault occurred in a restaurant in the 5000 block of Almaden Expressway. The suspect attacked the victim without provocation. Though no weapons were involved, the attack was severe enough to render the victim unconcious. The suspect fled the scene and remains at large. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was treated and released. The motivation behind the assault is not known.
