The San Jose Police Department is currently investigating the City's 18th homicide of 2012. On 6/8/2012, at approximately 2:34 A.M., the San Jose Police Department's 9-1-1 call center received multiple reports of a person shot outside of a karoake bar in the 2100 block of Senter Road in San Jose. Upon arrival, officers were confronted with a large crowd and eventually located a 25 year old male shooting victim in the parking lot. The victim, identified as Thai Vu, 25, of Milpitas, was pronounced dead from his injuries at the scene at 2:54 A.M.

Preliminary investigation into the shooting revealed that the suspects confronted the victim near the karaoke bar. During the confrontation, the victim was shot and eventually died from his injuries. The suspects fled the scene in a vehicle. Responding officers obtained a vehicle description at the scene and broadcasted it via radio. Moments later, a patrol officer spotted a vehicle that matched the description of the suspect vehicle. The officer radioed for additional units and subsequently initiated a high-risk car stop on the suspect vehicle on King Road in East San Jose. All three suspects were taken into custody without incident.

Upon further investigation, officers determined that the three suspects were involved in the homicide. On 6/9/2012 at approximately 3:30 A.M., all three suspects were booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail. Suspect Jimmy Ho and Suspect Johnny Le were booked for murder (Penal Code section 187). Suspect Andy Ho was booked for accessory (Penal Code section 32). The San Jose Police Department is not releasing booking photographs of the suspects until all photographic line-ups with potential witnesses have been completed. This will ensure the integrity of any positive identifications that are made by witnesses.

This incident marks San Jose's 18th homicide of 2012 and 8th gang related homicide of 2012. No further information is being released at this time due to the on-going nature of the investigation.
