On Sunday, August 26, 2012, at approximately 7:06 p.m., a sexual assault was reported to the San Jose Police Department that occurred in the area of S. Bascom and Parkmoor avenues at approximately 4:00 p.m. The victim, whose identity is being withheld, was walking on S. Bascom Avenue when she was sexually assaulted by an unknown male.The suspect fled and remains at large. He is described as approximately 35-45 years old, 5'5" to 5'7" tall, dark complexion, with broad shoulders, an "unshaven" mustache (stubble), and black short hair. His hair was cut in a flat top style hair cut with a little bit of "salt and pepper." He was wearing a blue shirt with what looked to be white splattered paint across the front of the shirt, black shorts, and white shoes. The male may be transient due to his unkempt appearance and body odor.
