San Jose:
On Monday, January 19, 2009, at 8:00 AM, San Jose Police Officers were dispatched to a major injury traffic collision involving a vehicle and pedestrian at Senter Road and Independence Avenue.
Preliminary investigation indicates the victim was crossing Senter Road at Independence Avenue, where there are no marked crosswalk or traffic signals. The driver was traveling southbound on Senter Road when he collided with the victim. The victim was struck by a possibly a green Honda sedan. The victim was transported to a local hospital where she later died.
