San Jose:
The San Jose Police Department is investigating the City's 27th homicide of 2013.  On 7/12/2013, at approximately 9:43 P.M., the San Jose Police Department's 9-1-1 Communications Center received a report of a person shot in the 1300 block of State Street in the Alviso neighborhood of North San Jose.  Upon arrival, patrol officers located the victim who was suffering from at least one gunshot wound.  The victim was transported to Valley Medical Center via ambulance where he was pronounced dead at approximately 10:29 P.M.  The San Jose Police Department's Homicide Unit is investigating the case.
 
Preliminary investigation into the incident has revealed that the victim was involved in an unknown type of altercation with the suspect(s) that resulted in a shooting.  The suspects remain unidentified and at-large.  The motive behind the shooting remains under investigation.
