San Jose:
The San Jose Police Department is investigating the City's 28th homicide of 2013.  On 7/14/2013, at approximately 1:06 A.M., the San Jose Police Department's 9-1-1 Communications Center received a report of shots fired in the 10300 block of Murtha Drive in East San Jose.  Upon arrival, patrol officers located a large house party that was breaking up.  A nearby patrol officer located a vehicle believed to be associated to the call and conducted a car stop at White Road / Story Road.  Upon contacting the occupants of the vehicle, the officer located a male with several gunshot wounds.  The victim was transported to Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 1:45 AM. 
No suspects have been identified or apprehended.  The motive into the shooting remains under investigation (it is not known if the shooting was gang related).  The circumstances surrounding the shooting (e.g. where exactly the shooting occurred and what led up to it) remain under investigation.
