San Jose: The San Jose Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in identifying and locating an armed robbery suspect shown in the photos, sketch and video below.

On Monday September 5, 2016, at 5:10 PM, an armed robbery occurred in the 2600 block of Tuers Rd. in San Jose. The adult male victim, who is disabled and not able to speak, was walking on Tuers Rd, north of Apollo Dr. The unknown suspect, riding a mountain bike, approached the victim from behind and knocked him to the ground.

The suspect then helped the victim to his feet as though the incident was accidental. As the victim got back on his feet, he pulled out his cell phone to communicate with the suspect. The suspect took the phone out of the victim's hand. The victim struggled with the suspect attempting to retrieve his phone. The suspect pointed a gun at the victim and then kicked the victim causing him to fall to the ground. The suspect got on his bike and fled southbound on Tuers Rd.

Suspect Description:    

  • Black Male 
  • 16 - 25 Years Old
  • Thin Build
  • Wearing a Dark Beanie Cap, Dark Shirt, Grey Sweatpants and Dark Colored Shoes.
  • Riding a Red Mountain Bike
