Follow-up investigation from Homicide detectives lead to the identification and arrest of two suspects involved in the homicide.  On Wednesday, December 21, 2016, suspect Sandoval was arrested in San Jose.  On Thursday, December 15, 2016 suspect Corral was arrested in the City of Gilroy, California. The suspects were booked into the Santa Clara County Jail for Murder.

San Jose: On Sunday, November 13, 2016, at 1:05 PM, San Jose Police Officers responded to the 3000 block of Peppermint Dr. on a call of a person stabbed. Arriving officers and San Jose Fire Department personnel found victim Pinal in the front yard of a residence where he was pronounced deceased. The investigation determined Pinal appeared to have a gunshot wound, not stabbed, and that the crime scene was at the same location. No suspects have been identified.

This is the City's 44th homicide of 2016.
