Update #2 (3-8-17)

 

Follow-up investigation by Homicide detectives lead to the identification of an additional suspect involved in the murder of victim Francisco Navarro.  A warrant was obtained on March 3, 2017 for suspect Andrew Cervantes.  Suspect Cervantes self-surrendered on March 7, 2017.  The suspect was taken into custody and booked into the County Jail for Murder — 187 PC.



Update: 3-7-17

 

Follow-up investigation by Homicide detectives lead to the identification of three additional suspects involved in the murder of victim Francisco Navarro. Warrants were obtained and on March 2, 2017, San Jose Police Department's Covert Response Unit arrested Santos Trevino for Murder- 187 PC in the City of Rocklin, California.

On March 3, 2017, San Jose Police Department's Covert Response Unit arrested, Joseph Esquivel and Percella Esquivel for Murder - 187 PC in San Jose.

All suspects were booked into the Santa Clara County Jail on noted charges.

San Jose: On Sunday, February 26, 2017, at 12:06 AM, San Jose Police Officers were dispatched to a person stabbed in the area of 83 S. 2nd Street (Tres Gringos Cabo Cantina). Arriving officers discovered victim Navarro suffering from at least one stab wound. Victim Navarro was pronounced deceased at a local area hospital a short time later.

Preliminary investigation revealed victim Navarro and co-workers were involved in an altercation with several individuals. Victim Navarro was stabbed and the suspects fled the scene. Two suspects were located and detained after fleeing the scene in a vehicle. The two suspects were subsequently arrested and booked into the County Jail for homicide.

This is the City's 6th homicide of 2017.
