SJPD arrested suspect for Attempting to Mfg. Child Pornography and Hidden Camera

San Jose: The San Jose Police Department's Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) task force arrested El Verde Nguyen for Attempt to Manufacture Child Pornography (felony) - 664/311.4(c) PC and Hidden Camera in Restroom (misdemeanor) - 647(j)(3)(A) PC. 

On July 30, 2017, the San Jose Police Department received information about the suspect's involvement in the above listed crimes.

On July 31, 2017, ICAC detectives conducted follow-up investigation at the suspect's place of business, The Enlightenment Studio, located at 438 Toyon Avenue in San Jose. A small recording device was found in the restroom. At least one image involving a child under the age of 10 years old was also found and seized as evidence. The San Francisco Division of the FBI was contacted for assistance and they will be taking a comprehensive look at the recording device. Nguyen was arrested and booked into the Santa Clara County Jail on noted charges.
