Ann Woo Death Investigation Update

San Jose, CA — On Friday, August 11, 2017, at 3:03 PM, San Jose police officers responded to the 6100 block of Bollinger Road on a fire aid call. Arriving officers determined that there was some type of physical altercation, and that Ann Woo, a 75 year-old Cupertino resident, was one of the involved parties. Woo was transported to a local hospital and was pronounced deceased on Friday, August 25, 2017.

The San Jose Police Department’s Homicide Unit took over the death investigation from the Assaults Unit. Detectives have been conducting follow-up investigation by reviewing evidence, looking for additional evidence, interviewing witnesses, and locating new witnesses. Detectives are also working with the Santa Clara County Coroner’s Office who will provide the cause and manner of death after they conclude their investigation and autopsy.

We will provide updates on the investigation as it progresses.
