Follow-up investigation by Homicide detectives lead to the identification of Joseph Miller as the person responsible for the murder of victim Alfred Perez.

San Jose: On Tuesday, November 08, 2016, at 7:38 PM, San Jose Police Officers responded to the area of W. Alma Ave. and Mastic St. on a report of several people involved in a fight. Arriving officers located an adult male victim suffering visible injuries. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The motive or circumstances surrounding the homicide are unknown at this time. No suspects have been identified or apprehended. 

This is the City's 42nd homicide of 2016.
