SJPD Arrests 2 Suspects for 12-17-17 Homicide

San Jose, Calif. - On Wednesday, December 27, 2017, at about 8:47 PM, San Jose police officers responded to a person shot in the 2500 block of Van Winkle Lane in San Jose. Arriving officers located the victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Follow-up investigation by homicide detectives led to the identification of suspects Ruben Rodriguez and Julian Casillas as being responsible for the murder of Jose Mejia Diaz. Murder warrants were obtained for both suspects who are currently in custody at the Santa Clara County Jail on unrelated cases.
