Suspect-Hector Arias
On 5/7/09, approximately 3:45 p.m., San Jose Police responded to a reported shooting in the 3300-block of Rocky Mountain Drive.  Officers arrived and found the victim in front of a house, suffering from a gunshot wound.  The victim was transported to a local hospital by ambulance where he was pronounced dead. 
 
Witnesses saw the suspect running east on Rocky Mountain Drive after the shooting.  The suspect is described as being between 5'7" and 5'8" in height, and was last seen wearing a hooded sweatshirt.
 
It is unknown whether the victim knew the suspect, and the motive is under investigation.  This accounts for the tenth homicide in the city of San Jose.

UPDATE: 11-17-09
The suspect has been identified as the suspect in the above case.  Arias is not in custody and is considered to be armed and dangerous.  Arias whereabouts are unknown.
