San Jose:
The San Jose Police Department is currently investigating the City's 27th homicide of 2012. On Monday, August 13th, at approximately 4:03 P.M., the San Jose Police Department's 9-1-1 call center received a report of a person shot in the 2300 block of Denair Avenue. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male victim that had been shot. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he remained under treatment until he succumbed to his injuries on 8/15/2012 at approximately 1:00 P.M.
Preliminary investigation into the shooting revealed that unknown suspects in a vehicle fired at the victim striking him at least once. The suspect vehicle then fled the scene. The suspects remain at large. The San Jose Police Department's Homicide Unit has taken over the case. The motive behind the shooting remains under investigation.
