San Jose, Calif. - The San Jose Police Department's Robbery Unit has been investigating a series of at least fourteen (14) purse snatch style robberies which have occurred between October 2016 through December 2016. The robberies involved older/elderly Asian females being targeted at shopping centers and/or stores.

The female victims were followed home where the suspect approached them and committed the purse snatch robbery. On several occasions, the victims were pulled to the ground and/or dragged during the struggle, causing injuries. On some of the robberies, a firearm was seen or threatened by the suspect.
