San Jose: On Thursday, January 5, 2017, at 7:44 PM, San Jose Police Officers were dispatched to La Mejor Taqueria, located at 2003 Story Road on a report of two people shot. Arriving officers discovered three adult male victims suffering from at least one gunshot wound each. Victim Hugo Sanchez and Victim Daniel Maldonado were pronounced deceased at the scene. The third victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.   

The motive or circumstances surrounding the homicide are unknown at this time. No suspects have been identified or apprehended. 

This is the City's 1st and 2nd homicide of 2017.
