SJPD has arrested a teacher for possession of child pornography

San Jose: The San Jose Police Department's Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) task force arrested 41 year old San Jose Resident John Hayden for being in possession of child pornography (California Penal Code Section 311.11 - Felony) and booked him into jail.

On April 20, 2017, ICAC detectives obtained a served a search warrant for child pornography and served the warrant at Hayden's residence in San Jose.  Images of child pornography were located and seized as evidence.  Hayden was located and arrested at Pioneer High School where he was employed as a teacher.  Hayden was booked into the County Jail.

As a precaution, San Jose Police Department detectives conducted follow up to ensure that there were no unreported incidents of lewd or inappropriate conduct. School administration cooperated with the investigation and no prior incidents were uncovered.   The investigation into his previous employment is underway to ensure that there is no other illegal activity.
