Homicide Investigation 8-17-17: 300 block of E. Taylor Street

San Jose: 
On Thursday, August 17, 2017 at approximately 9:37 PM, San Jose police officers responded to a report of a person shot in the 300 block of E. Taylor Street. Upon arrival, officers located two victims suffering from at least one gunshot wound each.  The victims were transported to local area hospitals and treated for life threatening injuries. Unfortunately, one of the victims succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital.  The second shooting victim suffered non-life threatening injuries. The suspect, later identified as Oliver Juinio, fled the scene on foot and was located a short time later and arrested.

The San Jose Police Department’s Homicide Unit arrived on scene and took over the investigation.  The motive and circumstances surrounding the shooting are under investigation. 

The suspect will be booked into the Santa Clara County Jail for murder and attempted murder.
