SJPD Arrest Four Suspects In Armed Robbery.

San Jose, CA — The San Jose Police Department's Robbery Unit has been investigating a shooting and robbery that occurred in broad daylight at Eastridge Mall in East San Jose. The adult male victim was shot during the incident and suffered non-life threatening injuries.


On Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at approximately 3:40 PM, San Jose police officers responded to a call of a person shot at Eastridge Mall located at 2185 Eastridge Loop in San Jose. Suspect Christopher French was apprehended hiding inside a nearby store by responding officers. Three additional suspects fled the scene. Over the next several months, Detectives assigned to the case identified the three outstanding suspects. With the help of the San Jose Police Department's Covert Response Unit, the three outstanding suspects were located and apprehended. 

On August 17, 2017, Jaleen Fleming was arrested at his residence in San Jose.  That same day, Jeremy Lemelle was arrested at a hotel in Milpitas.

On September 8, 2017, Devin Morris was arrested at his residence in San Jose. 

French and Lemelle were booked into the Santa Clara County Jail for 211/212.5(C) PC - Robbery and 245(A)(2) PC - Assault with a Firearm. Fleming and Morris were booked into the Santa Clara County Jail for 211/212.5(C) PC - Robbery.

Investigators believe these individuals are involved in other armed robberies in the area between March 2017 and April 2017. They are asking for the public's assistance in identifying additional victims who may have not reported their robbery to the police.
