SJPD Arrests 16 Suspects for Violent Carjackings, Robberies & other crimes.

Violent Robbery / Carjacking Investigation


San Jose, Calif. — The San Jose Police Department's Robbery Unit conducted a large-scale operation last week targeting a violent criminal gang responsible for a series of robberies, carjackings, burglaries, and an assault with a deadly weapon. Officers made multiple arrests and seized several firearms, ammunition and stolen property. The crew was responsible for various crimes including, 7 robberies, 6 carjackings, 10 burglaries, an assault with a deadly weapon and various other weapon offenses which they were arrested for last week. 

On Thursday, April 26, 2018, the San Jose Police Department's Robbery Unit, in conjunction with the Gang Investigations Unit, Covert Response Unit, Financial Crimes Unit, Intelligence Unit, Violent Crimes Enforcement Team, MERGE, Metro, Patrol, the Santa Clara County Regional Auto Theft Task Force, Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety, Mountain View Police Department, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, Santa Clara County Juvenile Probation and the District Attorney's Office Crime Strategies Unit conducted 1 probation search and served 6 search warrants in San Jose.

Five adults and eleven juveniles (ages 15 to 17) were arrested.  Subsequently, the adults were booked in the Santa Clara County Jail and the juveniles were booked into Santa Clara County Juvenile Hall on Multiple charges, including; robbery carjacking, burglary, assault with a deadly weapon.
