SJPD Arrests 2 Suspects for Homicide & Attempted Murder that occurred on 5-20-18

San Jose, Calif. - On May 20, 2018 at approximately 7:38 PM, San Jose police officers responded to the 2600 block of Senter Road on a report of a person shot.  Officers arrived on scene and located two victims suffering from at least one gunshot wound each.  Victim 1, Thao Luu, was pronounced deceased at the scene.  Victim 2 was transported to a local hospital with life threatening injuries.

Follow-up investigation by Homicide detectives led to the identification of suspects Duong Luu (son of victims) and Madison Muong as being responsible for the murder of Thoa Luu and attempted murder of Victim 2 . 

On May 22, 2018, the San Jose Police Department's Covert Response Unit arrested the suspects at their residence in San Jose.  The suspects were booked into Santa Clara County Jail for one count of 187 PC - Murder and one count of 664/187 PC - Attempted Murder.
