SJPD has arrested a suspect in the series of fires in San Jose.

Patrick William Brennan- Arson Suspect PhotoOn January 15, 2014 at approximately 8:10 P.M., the San Jose Police Department arrested Patrick William Brennan of San Jose as the person responsible for setting a series of fires in San Jose.   After an extensive investigation, the San Jose Police Department, in conjunction with the San Jose Fire Department, have confirmed Brennan is responsible for setting at least 12 fires between January 8 and January 12, 2014.  On January 15, 2014, the San Jose Police Department Bureau of Investigations along with Special Operations Units served a search warrant at Brennan's residence, took him into custody, and booked him on 2 counts of arson.  Brennan is currently being held in the Santa Clara County Main Jail on $1,000,000 bail.

The San Jose Police Department is continuing the investigation in conjunction with the Santa Clara County District Attorney's Office and will potentially include additional counts of arson.
