UPDATE (July 19, 2016)

The San Jose Police Department has identified the victim involved in the July 13, 2016 homicide that occurred on the 700 block of Ocala Avenue.

San Jose: On Wednesday, July 13, 2016, at 3:17 AM, San Jose Police officers responded to the 1700 block of Ocala Avenue on a report of possible dead body.  Upon arrival officers located an adult male who was suffering from injuries consistent with blunt force trauma.  The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene a short time later. 

San Jose Homicide detectives conducted follow up investigations and identified Suspect Law as the person responsible for the death of the victim.  It was also determined the suspect and the victim were known to each other. Suspect Law was arrested and booked into the County Jail for murder.

This is the City's 26th homicide of 2016.
