San Jose:   On Friday, January 13, 2017, at 6:34 AM, San Jose Police Officers were dispatched to the 1600 block of Mt Pleasant Road on a report of a person shot.  Upon arrival, officers discovered an adult male victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The motive or circumstances surrounding the shooting are under investigation. No suspects have been identified or apprehended. The identity of the victim will not be released until the Santa Clara County Coroner's Office has confirmed the his identity and notified next of kin.

This is the City's 3rd homicide of 2017.
