SJPD Arrests Suspect from 6-5-2014 Homicide that occurred on Piercy Rd. in San Jose

San Jose, Calif. - Follow-up investigation by Homicide detectives led to the identification of suspect Antonio Sandoval for the murder of Jose Asuncion Gamez Hurtado.  An arrest warrant was obtained for the suspect.

On August 30, 2018, the San Jose Police Department's Covert Response Unit arrested suspect Sandoval in San Jose.  The suspect was booked into Santa Clara County Jail for one count of Murder - 187 PC (felony).

San Jose, Calif. - 
The San Jose Police Department is investigating the City's 18th Homicide of 2014. On June 5, 2014, at approximately 1:21 AM, the SJPD "911" Communications Center received a call of an unresponsive person in the 500 block of Piercy Road in San Jose.  Officers arrived and located a deceased male who suffered from at least one stab wound. The victim was later identified as 36 year old Jose Gamez of San Jose.
 

The San Jose Police Department's Homicide Unit responded to the scene to conduct the investigation. Homicide investigators are conducting an investigation into the motive and circumstances surrounding the murder.  They have not identified or apprehended any suspects.
