SJPD Arrests Suspect for 4-21-19 Homicide in the 300 block of Blossom Hill Rd.

San Jose, Calif. - On Sunday, April 21, 2019, at about 12:42 AM, San Jose police officers responded to a report of a person shot in the 300 block of Blossom Hill Rd. in San Jose. Arriving officers located an adult male victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The victim was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased a short time later.

Follow up investigation by homicide detectives identified suspect Robert Ornelas as the person responsible for shooting the victim. On April 21, 2019, the suspect was taken into custody in San Jose and booked into Santa Clara County Jail for homicide.

The identity of the victim will be released by the Santa Clara County Coroner’s Office after they confirm the victim’s identity and notify next of kin.

This is the City’s 13th homicide of 2019.
