SJPD Arrests Suspect for Disorderly Conduct

San Jose, Calif. - The San Jose Police Department's 290/Megan’s Law Unit arrested suspect James Rehmert for disorderly conduct.

Between April 1, 2019, and May 13, 2019, an unknown male was observed using his cellular phone to videotape adult females at various stores in the City of San Jose. Detectives launched a criminal investigation which led to the identification of suspect James Rehmert; a registered sex offender.

The investigation uncovered evidence of crimes against multiple adult females who are unknown at this time. On Wednesday, June 5, 2019, detectives obtained an arrest warrant for 14 misdemeanor counts of Disorderly Conduct - 647(j)(3)(A) PC. Rehmert was served with the arrest warrant while in custody at Santa Clara County Jail on unrelated charges. Detectives are hoping potential victims recognize the suspect and contact them to provide additional information about their specific encounter.
