SJPD Arrests Suspect for 9-6-19 Homicide in the 1500 block of Parkmoor Ave.

San Jose, Calif. - On Friday, September 6, 2019, at about 12:40 PM, San Jose police officers responded to a call of a person down in the 1500 block of Parkmoor Ave. in San Jose. Arriving officers located a male victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The victim was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased a short time later.

Follow-up investigation by homicide detectives led to the identification of suspect Robert Styre. Detectives discovered Styre had connections to Stanislaus County and alerted local law enforcement agencies. On Saturday, September 7, 2019, at about 1:15 AM, an officer with the Ceres (CA) Police Department made a car stop on a vehicle associated to suspect Styre. Styre was arrested without incident and held for San Jose Police Department homicide detectives. Styer was subsequently booked into Santa Clara County Jail for murder.
