SJPD is Investigating a Shooting and Looking for a Person of Interest.

LOCATION: 100 block of E. San Fernando Street.  San Jose

San Jose, Calif. - On September 19, 2019, at about 6:21 PM, San Jose police officers responded to a call of shots fired in the 100 block of East San Fernando Street in San Jose. Officers arrived on scene and located property damage to a parking structure and to the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Library. An unknown suspect shot multiple rounds from a firearm in multiple directions.  No victims were located. 

After canvassing the area and talking to witnesses, San Jose police detectives obtained photos of a "person of interest" seen in the area at the time of the shooting.  It is unknown if this person is responsible for the shooting, however, detectives would like to speak to this person to see if he has any information relating to this incident.

The person of interest is described as a white male adult in his early 20's wearing a blue medical mask, a black hooded sweatshirt, tan pants, possible Nike brand shoes, and a blue/gray backpack.
