SJPD Arrests Suspect for 8-10-19 Homicide in the 1700 block of Story Road

San Jose, Calif. - On Saturday, August 10, 2019, at about 10:23 PM, San Jose police officers responded to a person shot in the 1700 block of Story Road in San Jose. Arriving officers located victim Jose Sandoval suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Victim Sandoval was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased a short time later.

Homicide detectives conducted follow-up investigation and identified suspect Antonio Pinal as the person responsible for the murder of victim Sandoval. Detectives then obtained an arrest warrant for murder. On Thursday, September 26, 2019, detectives served Pinal with the arrest warrant while he was in custody on unrelated charges at the Elmwood Correctional Facility in Milpitas.
