SJPD Arrests Three Suspects for 8-15-19 Homicide in the 3100 block of Senter Rd.

San Jose, Calif. - On Thursday, August 15, 2019, at about 1:52 AM, San Jose police officers responded to Kaiser Permanente San Jose Medical Center regarding two adult male shooting victims that drove themselves to the hospital. The victims sustained at least one gunshot wound each. One victim suffered non-life threatening injuries. Victim Brian Castro was pronounced deceased a short time later.

Officers determined the shooting occurred in the 3100 block of Senter Rd. in San Jose. Follow up investigation by homicide detectives led to the identification of the above listed suspects.

On September 10, 2019, suspect Ricardo Diaz was arrested in Bakersfield, California. Diaz was booked into Santa Clara County Jail for murder, robbery, and assault with a deadly weapon.

On September 10, 2019, suspect Alexander Toledo was arrested in Bakersfield, California. Toledo was booked into Santa Clara County Jail for murder, robbery, and assault with a deadly weapon.

On October 24, 2019, suspect Keonte Smith was arrested in Las Vegas, Nevada. Smith was booked into Clark County Detention Center in Las Vegas for murder and robbery. He is awaiting extradition to San Jose.
