SJPD Arrests Suspect for 12-13-19 Homicide on S.White Rd at Florence Ct.

San Jose, Calif. - On Friday, December 13, 2019, at approximately 2:08 AM, San Jose police officers responded to a person shot in the area of South White Road at Florence Court in San Jose.  Arriving officers located the victim lying in the street and suffering from at least one gunshot wound.  The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.  

Patrol officers received information that the suspect fled on foot and was associated to a residence in the area. Officers contained the residence and detained several occupants. Additional follow-up investigation by homicide detectives led to the identification of suspect Carlos Gomez as being responsible for the murder.  The suspect had been one of the occupants inside the residence. 

The suspect was arrested and booked into Santa Clara County Jail for murder (felony) - Penal Code 187.  This is the City's 32nd homicide of 2019.
