San Jose, Calif. - On Sunday, May 17, 2020, at about 7:55 PM, San Jose police officers were dispatched to the 400 block of N. Capitol Avenue in San Jose on a report of a stabbing.  Officers arrived and discovered two adult male victims suffering from at least one stab wound each.  The victims were transported to a local hospital where victim Frank Ibarra was pronounced deceased a short time later.  The second victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was later released.  

Homicide detectives conducted follow-up investigation and identified suspect Miguel Gomez-Vasquez and suspect Liliana Frausto as the individuals responsible for the murder of victim Frank Ibarra.  On Thursday, May 28, 2020, the San Jose Police Department's Covert Response Unit arrested Miguel Gomez-Vasquez on a murder warrant and Liliana Frausto on accessory after the fact warrant. They were both arrested in San Jose and subsequently booked into Santa Clara County Jail.
