The San Jose Police Department’s Sexual Assault Investigations Unit is actively investigating a sexual assault in the City of San Jose. The suspect, Bashir Tacuma, a resident of San Jose, California, is known to frequent the downtown area of San Jose. Patrol officers responded to a 9-1-1 call of a sexual assault and were able to locate and arrest the suspect nearby.  Detectives assigned to the case conducted follow-up that led them to believe there may be additional victims.  Suspect Bashir was booked into the Santa Clara County Jail for the Sexual Assault.
