On June 4, 2024, at approximately 5:31 PM, San José Police Department Officers responded to a business parking lot located in the 2300 block of McKee Road for a report of a robbery. The preliminary investigation revealed the following:
After withdrawing cash from a bank, an elderly female victim drove to a business parking lot where she was then approached by an unknown male suspect. The suspect violently grabbed the victim's purse and threw her to the ground. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival.

SURVEILLANCE VIDEO
SJPD Robbery Unit Detectives began a thorough investigation and identified a juvenile male suspect responsible for the robbery and obtained a warrant for his arrest.
On July 19, 2024, Detectives arrested the juvenile suspect in the city of San José and booked him into Santa Clara County Juvenile Hall for robbery, elder abuse, and assault.
