On April 29, 2024, at approximately 10:32 PM, Officers responded to an armed robbery that occurred in the 800 block of Gateview Drive. The victim was completing an online marketplace sale with an unknown male suspect. As this exchange was taking place, the victim was approached by two additional unknown male suspects who both brandished a firearm. The suspects took over $4,000 dollars worth of merchandise from the victim and fled in a vehicle.
San José Police Department Robbery Unit Detectives began a thorough and comprehensive investigation into the incident. Detectives identified the suspects responsible for the armed robbery as Laquin Golden, Dwight Porsche and a juvenile suspect. Detectives obtained arrest warrants for the suspects and search warrants for their residences.
On July 17, 2024, the San José Police Department Special Operations Covert Response Unit (CRU) located and apprehended the suspects. Suspect Golden was arrested in the city of San José. The juvenile suspect and suspect Porsche were arrested in the city of Milpitas. Suspect Golden and suspect Porsche were booked into Santa Clara County Main Jail for robbery. The juvenile suspect was booked into Santa Clara County Juvenile Hall for robbery.
