SJPD Arrests Suspect for Home Invasion Robbery and Sexual Assault

On November 2, 2024, at approximately 1:45 AM, San José Police Department Patrol Officers responded to a report of a home invasion robbery that occurred in 700 block of South Ninth Street. An unidentified male suspect forced entry into the apartment and brandished a firearm at the three adult victims. The suspect bound all three victims, assaulted and threatened to kill the adult male victim, then proceeded to sexually assault the two adult female victims. After taking cash and personal belongings, the suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival.

SJPD Robbery Unit Detectives began a thorough investigation and identified the suspect as Juan Jordan. Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for the suspect and a search warrant for his associated residence.

On December 10, 2024, with the assistance of the SJPD Covert Response Unit, suspect Jordan was arrested in the city of San José. He was subsequently booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail for various crimes including robbery, burglary, assault with a deadly weapon, and sexual assault.
