SJPD Arrests Two Suspects for Attempted Kidnapping

On November 17, 2024, at approximately 9:55 PM, San José Police Department Patrol Officers responded to a residence in the city of San José for a suspicious circumstance. Two unknown suspects impersonating Federal agents approached the adult female victim, who is a bank employee, and informed her she was being arrested for unknown crimes. The victim was suspicious of the suspects and refused to comply. The unknown suspects fled the scene prior to police arrival.

SJPD Assaults Unit Detectives began an investigation and identified Denzel Jones and Trashauna Outlaw as the primary suspects. The investigation revealed that the suspects planned to kidnap her to commit a bank robbery.

Detectives obtained arrest warrants for suspects Jones and Outlaw. Both suspects are currently being held in the Clark County Detention Center in the city of Las Vegas for unrelated multiple bank robberies committed in the state of Nevada.

Once extradited back to California, both suspects will be be booked into Santa Clara County Main Jail for attempted kidnapping, impersonating a Federal agent, and invasion of privacy via electronic tracking.
